Taylor Swift 8/11 to headline Glastonbury next year after her tour dates were announced
Betting remains available for who the 2024 Glastonbury headliners will be after another successful year at Worthy Farm wrapped up last weekend with a headline set from Elton John.
Bookmakers have kept Taylor Swift as the favourite to headline next year's festival but her odds have now moved from evens to 8/11 to head the Pyramid Stage next year.
Swift announced her European dates for next year with the Friday and Saturday of the festival both marked on her calendar with dates over in Dublin.
There is a Glastonbury-shaped hole though on the Sunday with the potential to headline the final day of Glastonbury 2024 open for the American singer.
Glastonbury Festival 2024 Headliner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Taylor Swift | 8/11 | 57.9% |
Coldplay | 6/4 | 40.0% |
Dua Lipa | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Foo Fighters | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Dave | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Coldplay are second favourites in the betting market at 6/4
Coldplay remain second favourites in the betting market to headline Glastonbury next year with the latest betting odds giving them a 40% chance of headlining.
The band have graced the renowned festival not once, not twice, but four times already in the years 2002, 2005, 2011, and 2016.
All four of those appearances were headline sets on the Pyramid Stage and they could become the first artists to headline the festival five times.
Van Morrison has the most appearances on the Pyramid Stage altogether with 8 different performances over the years on the famous stage.
Foo Fighters and Dua Lipa joint third favourites
The Glastonbury Pyramid headliner betting sees Foo Fighters and Dua Lipa as the joint third favourites in the market at 2/1 and it could well be that we see them both there next year.
Foo Fighters performed at this year's Glastonbury under the name 'The Churnups' with a massive set on the Pyramid Stage on the Friday and Dave Grohl appeared multiple times on the farm across the weekend.
Dua Lipa on the other hand was expected to be a special guest for Elton John's set on the Sunday night but surprisingly didn't appear with the crowd having to make do with her on the screens instead.
