The 'second city' hosted the Commonwealth Games in August and it's has been a successful one with positive press all around the competition.

This could help their chances of hosting Eurovision next year due to their recent experience of hosting a major event.

Birmingham was the last UK city to host Eurovision back in 1998.

Graham Norton remains the favourite to be the host of next year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Norton has been the BBC's main commentator for the event for the last 13 years after taking over from Sir Terry Wogan in 2009.

Rylan Clark-Neal is second in the market at 1/2 and has was heavily involved in the BBC's coverage of Eurovision last year.

Emma Willis 10/1 9.1%

Scott Mills also features in the betting market at 5/1 and he's been a predominant figure in the BBC's coverage of Eurovision in the last decade.
