Chelsea are now just 7/2 to sign Frenkie De Jong this Summer after reported interest
Chelsea are the latest market mover in the betting market to be Frenkie De Jong's next club after apparent interest from the Blues.
Frenkie De Jong has been linked with a move to Manchester United for the last couple of months but that deal looks no closer to going through.
Paddy Power now make Chelsea the second favourite to sign De Jong at odds of 7/2 with United still 6/5 favourites in the market.
Frenkie De Jong's Next Club
|
Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Man Utd | 6/5 | 45.5% |
Chelsea | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Man City | 22/1 | 4.3% |
Bayern Munich | 22/1 | 4.3% |
PSG | 33/1 | 2.9% |
De Jong is still 5/4 to stay at Barcelona this Summer so it may well be that the Dutch midfielder goes nowhere and remains at the Nou Camp.
Barcelona beat Inter Miami 6-0 in a pre-season friendly last night, with De Jong appearing as a second half substitute.
Manchester United are still favourites to sign De Jong this Summer
Manchester United remain the favourites to sign Frenkie De Jong this Summer although the odds have changed quite a bit since last month.
At one point in the market United were 4/7 to sign De Jong and the move looked imminent, but now they've drifted out to 6/5.
Bookies therefore give just a 45% chance that the transfer happens this window and with each week that goes by it looks less likely to happen.
Reports have suggested that Barcelona still owe De Jong payments as part of his contract at the club and the midfielder will go nowhere until he gets that money.
