Lewis Hamilton shortens into 5/1 to win the Drivers Championship after strong testing display

Betting odds continue to be offered on the 2025 Formula 1 season with testing taking place in Bahrain this week and the outright Drivers Championship market has changed right around since the beginning of the week.

Ferrari new boy Lewis Hamilton has been the biggest market mover in the past few days with his odds tumbling from 8/1 into 5/1 with bookmakers after impressing in his new car.

Day Two of testing saw Hamilton set the second-fastest time in a day which was all about building up experience with his engineer ahead of the season kicking off next month.

Testing of course is always taken with a pinch of salt with teams notorious for keeping some of their performance back and not giving too much away but Hamilton will be positive ahead of the season opener.

Bet365's latest odds place Hamilton as the fourth favourite to win the title this season in what is already looking like a competitive season on the way.

What the expert says...
British driver Lando Norris continues to lead the betting odds for the 2025 F1 Drivers Championship with the latest market putting him clear ahead of the rest of the pack for his first Championship.

Lando Norris remains favourite for this year's Championship

McLaren driver Lando Norris was installed as the favourite for the Drivers Championship when the market originally opened at the end of last season and he's stayed that way now.

The British driver sits as the 15/8 favourite in the odds list to win the title for the first time this year after fighting against Max Verstappen for a big part of last season.

Norris needs to push on this year and stop being as nice as he was at times last season to show the ruthlessness that he needs to be an F1 champion.

Further odds are also given for the 2025 Constructors Championship with McLaren leading the way to win their second consecutive title.

It looks like it'll be the Top Four teams leading the way again this season followed by the rest of the pack with the odds after the big four getting bigger and bigger.

Ferrari and McLaren had opened up as joint favourites in the market but McLaren have shorted into evens favourites now.
