Gavin and Stacey moves into favourite to be most viewed show on UK TV this Christmas Day

Betting odds have changed right around for this year’s Most Watched Show on Christmas Day with Gavin and Stacey now shortening into odds-on favourite to top the viewing figures this year.

King Charles Christmas Day Speech had originally opened as favourite in the market with a 66.7% chance of being the most viewed show but Gavin and Stacey’s popularity is set to show once again.

The hit BBC comedy returned to television screens back in 2019 with more than 11.5m viewers watching on BBC One which meant that 49.2% of all viewers at the time tuned in for the show.

Now Gavin and Stacey shortens into odds-on favourite at 1/3 to be the most watched Christmas Day show with bookies putting the programme well clear at the top of the market.
