Oasis are now the favourites to perform the John Lewis Advert this christmas - 9 years on from their song Half the World Away being covered for their iconic advert by Norwegian artist Aurora.
With the 90s Britpop band reforming this summer to massive demand, the latest odds now make them favourites to sing on the John Lewis Advert with betting experts saying there’s a 25% chance it happens.
The 2015 advert saw a lonely man on the moon found by a girl on her telescope before sending him a telescope of his own for Christmas in a special tie-in with charity Age UK.
It may well be that Oasis perform their original version of Half the World Away for this year’s advert although the odds also cover any Oasis track too.

Andrea Bocelli performed the song for 2023's John Lewis Advert, with 'Festa' becoming the first in years for the advert that featured an original song with the track written and produced specifically for it.
65-year-old Bocelli's song is the perfect soundtrack for the advert, with the emotion shown in his voice fitting in with the consistent Christmas theme of the John Lewis ad.
There have been no leaks or rumours around who will be the performer of this year's advert song but it's clear that it'll be another big name.
