King Charles specials offered by bookies ahead of this week's Cheltenham Festival
It's Cheltenham Festival week and with it brings a variety of betting specials around the festival including the potential of an appearance from King Charles.
The late Queen's Granddaughter Zara Tindall said last week that it would be great to see Charles and Camilla back at Cheltenham but since then the King's horse Steal A March has been pulled out through injury.
With that being the case it looks unlikely that the King will attend the Festival but Betway have priced up several specials in the case that he does this week.
The favourite odds for these betting specials is that the King is spotted drinking a pint of Guinness at the festival at odds of 7/2 to do so.
King Charles Cheltenham Festival Specials | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
To be pictured drinking a pint of Guinness | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Queen Consort to win Best Hat at Ladies Day | 8/1 | 11.1% |
To Tip A Winner in a TV Interview | 14/1 | 6.7% |
To be pictured ripping up a Betting Slip | 20/1 | 4.8% |
With a potential visit to the Cheltenham Festival for King Charles this week bookies say there's a 22% chance of the King being pictured drinking a pint of Guinness!

If King Charles was to attend odds also include what colour tie he will wear
Betting on the colour of the Queen's hat at Royal Ascot was long a popular market for racegoers with on-course bookmakers also offering odds on the market.
With the Queen passing last year attentions may turn to King Charles with odds now given for what colour tie the King will wear if he was to attend the festival.
Blue is the favourite at odds of 6/5 with Purple the second favourite in the betting market at 3/1.
King Charles Colour of Tie at Festival | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Blue | 6/5 | 45.5% |
Purple | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Green | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Red | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Silver | 10/1 | 9.1% |
