Boris Johnson is now 1/10 to leave role as Prime Minister in 2022

UK politics has been shocked on Tuesday evening with the resignations of Conservative cabinet ministers Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid.

This has heaped massive pressure on PM Boris Johnson with bookies now making it as short as 1/10 that Boris Johnson will leave his role as Prime Minister at some point in 2022.

That gives an implied probability of 90% that Boris Johnson's reign will be over within the next 6 months.

Johnson continued to be in the headlines today with the news around Chris Pincher's allegations.

According to reports, Boris Johnson "did not immediately recall" last week that he'd been briefed previously on a 2019 investigation into a complaint made against Pincher.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is now 1/10 to leave his role as Prime Minister for the UK at some point in 2022. This comes after the resignation's of Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid.

Penny Mordaunt is new favourite to be next Conservative party leader

Penny Mordaunt is the new favourite to be the next Conservative leader, with the betting market changing in recent weeks.

Jeremy Hunt had been the favourite to take over when Boris Johnson eventually left as leader but the betting market now puts Mordaunt as the 5/1 favourite.

Mordaunt's odds have gone from 9/1 to 5/1 in the past month as reports continue to grow over Johnson's removal at the top of the tree of Politics in the UK.

Jeremy Hunt was the final opposition against Johnson back in 2019 in the last leadership contest but he may not get the chance to go for the top role in the Conservative party again.

Further specials around Boris Johnson's exit date

2022 is the now the heavy favourite date to see the end of Johnson's reign, with odds of 1/10.

2023 being the end of Boris Johnson's reign is 11/4 according to the bookies, with 2024 or later at 5/4.

It looks like it's the beginning of the end of Boris Johnson being the Prime Minister.

Boris Johnson's Exit Date odds keep changing though, so it's a market to keep a look out on.

Specials around Boris Johnson's exit date continue to be posted by bookmakers and it looks like 2022 could well see the end of his reign as PM.
