Newcastle have seen their odds slashed from 10/1 into 6/4 favourites to sign Ben Chilwell
Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell is now as short as 6/4 to join Newcastle United this summer after reports have linked him with a move from Stamford Bridge in the final week of the transfer window.
Blues boss Enzo Maresca stated that Chilwell was one of several players who was free to leave the club before the window slams shut on August 30 and betting sites give odds on where he may go.
Chilwell's odds have been slashed from 10/1 into just 6/4 to join Newcastle with Caught Offside saying that the Magpies could approach Chelsea for the signing in the coming days.
It looks unlikely that Newcastle even need him with Lewis Hall, Lloyd Kelly and Dan Burn all available at left-back but Bet365's odds have them at the top of the betting market.

Manchester United's odds also cut from 33/1 to 3/1 after player was told he could leave Chelsea
Other reports that linked Chilwell with a move away from Chelsea this week include The Guardian, who say that Manchester United have been offered the player.
With both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia injury prone it could make perfect sense for Erik ten Hag to sign the player this summer, even if just on a loan deal.
United did similar last season by signing Sergio Reguilón from Tottenham on a 6-month loan deal and they could also look to re-sign him again.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is the favourite to be the first manager to leave this season
Enzo Maresca has had a tough time as Chelsea manager already just a matter of weeks into the season with the Blues booed at half-time in their Conference League game against Servette on Thursday.
Chelsea eventually won the game 2-0 but substitute Cole Palmer was seen holding his hamstring at full-time which will cause concerns for fans and Maresca-alike.
The Chelsea boss still remains favourite to be the first manager sacked this season following that first competitive victory with the betting odds putting him as 11/2 favourite.
