Ben Stokes now as short as 4/1 to win the Sports Personality of the Year award
England's Test Cricket captain Ben Stokes is now the 4/1 favourite with UK Betting Sites to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
This comes ahead of England starting their Test Cricket Summer with a game against Ireland this week and this has seen his odds shorten down to just 4/1.
Bookies have had Stokes as favourite since the market was announced ahead of a massive year for Cricket with both the Ashes and World Cup taking place this year.
Paddy Power have now made Stokes the shortest he's been so far this year for the award with his odds giving him a 20% chance of winning SPOTY.

Frankie Dettori now comes into second favourite in the market
Horse Racing jockey Frankie Dettori is now second favourite in the betting market to win the Sports Personality of the Year award coming from nowhere to 11/2 to win it.
Dettori announced his plans to retire after this year's flat season earlier this year and nothing has changed since then so it may well be a celebration of his career as to why he'll be nominated.
AP McCoy won the 2010 BBC Sports Personality of the Year award and Dettori will be looking to follow in his footsteps 13 years on from that.
