Newcastle are just 1/3 to sign Anthony Gordon this January window

Everton forward Anthony Gordon is now as short as 1/3 with bookies to join Newcastle this transfer window as negotiations continue according to reports.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported earlier on Wednesday that an opening bid has been submitted for Gordon with Newcastle willing to spend more than £35m on the player.

Everton are currently without a manager after sacking Frank Lampard on Monday but still may not want to keep a player who is reportedly unhappy at the club.

Anthony Gordon Next Club Odds Probability
Newcastle 1/3 75.0%
Arsenal 5/1 16.7%
Chelsea 20/1 4.8%
Stay at Everton 7/2 22.2%

The latest betting odds say that there's a 22% chance that Gordon stays at Goodison Park for the rest of the season with a move looking increasingly likely now.

The Toffees look no closer in confirming who their new manager will be with Sean Dyche the betting favourite for the job earlier this week.

Bookies now give Anthony Gordon a 75% chance of signing for Newcastle this January window with reports suggesting a bid has been submitted by the Toon to Everton on Wednesday morning.

The Toon won the first leg of their Carabao Cup Semi-Final on Tuesday evening

Newcastle are flying this season and that continued on Tuesday night with a 1-0 win away to Southampton in the Carabao Cup semi-final stages.

Toon fans have been booking accommodation at Wembley since the third round and that looks to be a correct decision with a lead going into the second leg at St James Park.

Southampton are now as big as 11/1 to qualify for the Carabao Cup final with Newcastle as short as 1/50 to go through to the first final of the domestic season in England later in February.

Newcastle are looking to win their first major domestic trophy since 1955 with the drought far too long for a club the size of the Magpies.

Bookies give odds of 8/11 that Newcastle finish in the Top 4 this season

Bookies have markets for a variety of outcomes in the Premier League for the rest of the season with Top 4 looking like one of the most competitive.

The current market sees Newcastle as the 4th favourites to finish in the Top 4 this season behind Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester Utd.

Newcastle have a 57.9% chance of finishing in the Top 4 this campaign according to their latest odds of 8/11 with bookmakers.

The Premier League table currently sees Newcastle sitting in 3rd spot on the same points as Manchester United in 4th and three points ahead of Tottenham in 5th.

Newcastle are currently 8/11 to finish in the Top 4 in the Premier League this season after starting their campaign in terrific form for the first half of the season!
