Aaron Ramsdale now given 60% chance of signing for Newcastle according to latest betting odds
With the summer transfer window set to open on June 14, bookies are already offering betting odds on some of the biggest transfers that may take place across the next 3 months.
Arsenal and England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is one of those big names that appear in the betting odds for a move this summer after an extremely disappointing season at the Gunners.
Ramsdale started the season with a Community Shield victory over Man City and played in Arsenal's first five games but was then dropped following the arrival of David Raya on loan from Brentford.
Since Raya joined the club Ramsdale only played 6 more times across the season, with two of those times coming as a replacement for Raya as he couldn't play against parent club Brentford.
Despite 78 appearances across 2021/22 and 2022/23, Ramsdale was sealed as the number two across the season and now may be the time he looks to move away from the Gunners for first team football.
Newcastle are the 4/6 favourites to sign Ramsdale with The Athletic's Chris Waugh saying that the goalkeeper sits at the top of the Toon's wanted list for the summer window.

What the expert says...
Ramsdale has seen himself fall behind David Raya in the pecking order at Arsenal
Since Mikel Arteta decided to bring in David Raya from Brentford last summer, Ramsdale's starting chances have hindered massively with just 6 appearances since he came in.
Newcastle are favourites to sign Ramsdale this summer and Eddie Howe has worked with the goalkeeper before which could well help his chances of signing the player.
Nick Pope would be an interesting one though with the goalkeeper surely good enough to be the Number One at Newcastle and a transfer to the Toon for Ramsdale could just see him in the same situation he's in now at Arsenal.
Bookies are also offering odds on the 2024/25 Premier League title
Manchester City are the early favourites to win the Premier League title next season with Pep Guardiola's men looking to make it five-in-a-row by winning the league once more.
City beat Arsenal in the title race this season with the chances going down to the last game but a 3-1 win for Guardiola's side saw them finish two points above the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta's side are 9/4 second favourites to win the title this season with Arne Slot's Liverpool third in the odds list in their first season since Jurgen Klopp's departure.
