I've spent over 20 years inside the betting industry. I'll guide you to avoid the hype, ignore the noise, and steer clear of the common pitfalls that catch out everyday punters.

  • Bookmakers offering odds on the colour The Queen will wear to the Derby
  • She wore blue on her last visit in 2019 and betting site make it the favourite this time round
  • Lilac and Yellow are next in the betting according to bookies

The Derby at Epsom may be one of the biggest betting events on the flat racing calendar but it's not just betting on horses the bookmakers offer, as we can also try to predict the colour the Queen will be wearing as she is scheduled to attend as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Blue was the color she chose on the last occasion she attended the highlight of the June racing festival at the course in 2019, and she has also adorned the hue in 2012 and 1995

The Queen was most recently seen in blue when attending the Derby in 2019 and bookmakers are fancying a repeat making the color the 2/1 favourite in the betting

Bookmakers have made blue the favourite while offering betting odds on a host of other options

Yellow 9/2 18.18%

Jubilee Weekend Celebrations

The Derby comes during the planned bank holiday celebrating the monarch's Platinum Jubilee, but the Derby remains a race the Queen has yet to win as an owner, and it is now confirmed that 2022 will not be the year other after her three runners previously entered have been withdrawn from the race further lengthening the Epsom Derby Trends of no winner for the Queen int he race

Her best shot at the early entry stage was just 7/1 in the Derby betting, but Reach For The Moon has been pulled out of the race with the other two runners meaning that The Queen will have to wait at least another year to have a shot at completing the feat of having a winner in all of the 'Classic' following previous wins in the Oaks, 1000 Guineas, St Leger and 2000 Guineas.

The Derby remains elusive for The Queen who has won all of the other classics with her horses including the Oaks, the 1000 Guineas, St Leger and the 2000 Guineas, following the withdrawal of 7/1 chance Reach for The Moon.
