Keely Hodgkinson is her shortest price yet to win the Sports Personality of the Year award
Olympian Keely Hodgkinson is now at her shortest ever price to win the 2024 Sports Personality of the Year award after a massive summer for her so her crowned Olympic champion.
Hodgkinson was already backed in to favourite before the Olympics even kicked off earlier this year with UK Betting Sites predicting that she would win the 800m Gold Medal at the event.
This came true with the runner winning Gold in Paris in the 800 metres event and now her odds have shortened into 2/7 to win the SPOTY award with no real contender making a last ditch effort to challenge her.
It looks like it'll only need a jog to the finish for Hodgkinson with her odds suggesting a 77% chance of winning according to the latest market from Bet365 that puts her ahead of Lando Norris and Luke Littler.
2024 Sports Personality of the Year Winner | Odds | Probability |

What the expert says...
F1 star Lando Norris is second favourite at 8/1 as he keeps his Championship hopes alive
Lando Norris has now come down in the market into 8/1 second favourite in the betting market to win Sports Personality of the Year with his Formula 1 Drivers Championship hopes still just about alive as we enter the final stages of the season.
The British driver is the 10/3 second favourite to win the Championship this season with Max Verstappen still 2/9 favourite to win with a healthy lead at the top of the table.
Verstappen's lead at the top of the Drivers Championship sits at 47 points heading into the Brazil Grand Prix this weekend with a Sprint Race taking place there as well.
With four Grand Prix and two sprint races left this season there are still 116 points up for grabs before the season ends with four fastest lap points available as well to round the total up to 120.

Lionesses goalkeeper Mary Earps won the award last year
2023's Sports Personality of the Year award was awarded to England Women's goalkeeper Mary Earps for her performances for her country at the Women's World Cup last year.
England were beaten 1-0 to Spain in the final but a string of saves throughout the tournament and a penalty save in the final instantly made Earps favourite for the award.
Cricketer Stuart Broad finished second after he retired following the Ashes with world heptathlon champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson wrapping up the Top 3 for the event last year.
