Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick remains the heavy favourite to be the highest grossing film this year.
So far at the Box Office the movie has made just under $1.5 billion this year and it'll take something special to surpass that.
Top Gun: Maverick is by far the biggest film of Tom Cruise's career with Mission Impossible: Fallout second at just under $800m made.
This is almost $700m less than what the second Top Gun movie has made which shows just how impressive his latest movie has been.

Jurassic World: Dominion has reached the $1b mark worldwide but remains nearly half a billion behind Top Gun in the Box Office ranking for 2022.
Avatar 2 will be looking to get a top 5 place on this chart by the end of the year.
