The All-Ireland Hurling Championship is due to take place between April and July 2024.

Limerick's current dominance in Hurling is underlined by the fact that the bookies make them odds-on to gain a fifth consecutive win in the 2024 Championship.

The bookmakers see 2023 and 2022 runners-up, Kilkenny as again one of the teams likely to pressure Limerick's stronghold and they make them second favourite to win their thirty-seventh All-Ireland title and their first since 2015.

2022 All-Ireland Hurling Season Review

Limerick's latest title victory came at the hands of Kilkenny who lost out by just two points in an absorbing final at Croke Park attended by over eighty-two thousand people.

Kilkenny pushed Limerick to the limit and the scores were tied as late on as the 63rd minute. Limerick then managed five points without reply only for Kilkenny to strike fear into the Champions with three points in injury time. Kilkenny's fightback ultimately ran out of time and Limerick lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup for the fourth time in five years.

Galway lost out by five points to Kilkenny in the Leinster Final and then just failed to beat to Limerick in the All-Ireland semi-final 1-21 to 0-27.

Limerick were pushed to extra-time in the Munster Final by Clare who then went on to lose out to Kilkenny 0-20 to 2-26 in the other All-Ireland semi-final.
