All-Ireland Hurling Championship 2025

Clare won their fifth SHC in 2024 defeating Kilkenny 3-29 to 1-34 in a pulsating final that went to extra-time. The current champions are third favourites to win back-to-back titles, a feat they have never previously been able to achieve.

Limerick were the bookmakers' ante-post favourite to get back on the winning title run that saw them complete a four-timer between 2020 and 2023.

Last season's runners-up, Cork, were second favourites for 2025 where they will be attempting to win their thirty-first All-Ireland title.

Kilkenny, the most winning county in All-Ireland history with thirty-six wins, satt next in the bookmakers' lists at the start of the season.

All-Ireland Hurling Final 2024

Clare won their first All-Ireland title for eleven years when just pipping Cork 3-29 to 1-34 after extra-time in a trememdous match that was all-square at half-time and full-time.

Clare had been in the driving seat for much of the match but Cork showed typical resistance to force the match into the extra twenty-minute period. Clare looked to be safe when they went three points up with hardly any time left on the clock but Patrick Horgan scored two late points for Cork to leave the defecit at just one point with seconds to go. Robbie O'Flynn had a chance to level the game but put the ball agonisingly wide with virtually the last action of this classic match.

The match was enjoyed in the UK for the first time on terrestrial TV when shown in full on BBC2 and with the positive outpourings for the game all over social media it looks certain the All-Ireland final will be live on UK television again in 2025.
