Six-year-old gelding sired by Brazen Beau seems to have a liking for this course, nearly always putting in a decent performance. He is back over 6 furlongs tonight after running third over 5 furlongs last time out. A good draw and obvious pace are a big plus here, and this horse likes to lead or be close to it. The jockey is his regular rider and knows the horse well. If everything falls into place, he should go close. Hoping for a very good run at an each-way price.

Runner-up last 3 outings, including over C/D last time out. Looks like this one has the right attitude. With 4 places on offer, it looks good each-way value at the odds on offer.

Simply Blue is of interest, dropping in trip and class after racing over 7 furlongs here in Class 4 company last time out.

Early Release took full advantage of a clear run last time to win well at Kempton and looked like a sprinter back in the groove. He’s effective over 5 to 6f, returns from a short break fresh, and if he picks up where he left off, he’s got strong claims of going in again despite the 6lb rise.

Moostar arrives off a generous mark after going down by just a neck at Chelmsford and is back in a tongue-tie, where she travelled powerfully before just getting outmuscled late. This recent neck second off 1 lb lower proves her current ability and this Zoustar filly thrives at 6 to 7 f. Tongue strap retained looks another key positive, so I expect her to be held back and fire late here.

Surprised to see this horse at this whopping price. Last win came on the turf back in May 2025. With tonight's jockey back in the saddle, rival Bear Rock, who was 2nd that day by a nose, recently finished 2nd here at this course and distance by a short head in a Class 5 event. Tonight's Class 6 event is a much easier contest, with the regular winning jockey back in the saddle and four places up for grabs.
