Once last season at Warwick in a National Hunt flat race, where the winner was Crystal Days. His first run this season was at Southwell, where the winner was Blue Run. He was beaten around 28 lengths and finished fifth of 13. That race was over 20 furlongs. He is racing over 16 furlongs today. With good ground, James Bowen can get a big run from the Warren Greatrex-trained gelding. He is by Blue Bresil and could be progressing along the right lines.

Just a couple of hurdles outings to this point for Emerald Time and has shown glimpses of quality in both. But at the same time, he has shown naivety and a propensity for mistakes. That is why we are getting generous odds, and I like the chance that lessons learned are valuable where promise has been shown. I don't see any clear runner to fear here in what looks a wide-open race, so happy to take the shot at generous odds that errors can be erased.
