Admiral Stewart has a fair bit in his favour. If the first-time cheekpieces and wind surgery sharpen him up, we could be onto a winner. He returned to form with a great third in a handicap chase here last time, staying on late, and there’s still a competitive race in him off 117. He’s already a winner on this ground and won over this trip at Ffos Las also.

He did not do too badly in his first chase, a four-horse handicap chase at Newcastle, where he made a lot of the running but lost the lead after a couple of late errors and finished 2nd. Dropped two pounds, he should at least get a place here.
