Habrdi, was mainly racing in class 4s and sometimes even class 3s last year, and the odd class 5. His last run off the year was against some tough rivals, highest rated 78 in that field. He did try and challenge but wasn't good enough. Habrdi, slipped a further 4lbs in the weights for that run, getting down to the mark off 59. However, this is a much easier test, with the highest rival being rated 59. Over 7f today which looks like one off his favourite trips. I would like to see money over night for this horse, but i wouldn't get put off by a drift. I could be wrong and he could just be gone at the game, but I'm willing enough to take a chance.

CHLOE'S COURAGE looks a fair bet to take this modest handicap. Improved for the application of headgear, John Ryan's mare has run well a couple of times lately at other AW tracks. No reason to suppose Southwell will cause her a problem and handicapped to win, based on her penultimate start. Returns to blinkers after a visor last time and overall, a change of headgear has been associated with a good effort.

Fast Bullet is a gelding rated 59 who has already shown he can compete off this mark. He finished second in a Southwell all-weather handicap over today’s trip after travelling strongly and being beaten under a length. He was also placed when third in similar company, staying on well to finish within two lengths of the winner. Those runs confirm the surface and distance suit him and that today’s rating is workable. With conditions matching those solid efforts and a setup that should allow him to race prominently, there are clear reasons to expect another competitive run and a step back towards his best form.
