Was a good second last time out at Doncaster over the distance. Ground conditions today will suit. Stable going well. Should be hard to beat today.

There are plenty of potential improvers in here, but I don't think Sea Cookie will have to improve much to win this. It's recorded two solid second places from its two starts, and a recent wind operation and gelding should see further progress.

Velvet Goldmine had one run in a decent maiden at Newmarket as a 2yo, and trainer Ed Walker was disappointed with her run. He says she has done well since and is a nice filly. If she is ready, she must have a decent chance at a good price against other unproven types.

Showed plenty of promise on debut when finishing 2nd at Windsor last month. Improvement likely from that run, and holds an each-way chance.

Expensive Purchase, who is a half-brother to a Group winner. The yard does well for this owner. He wouldn't have to be anything special to beat what has already been shown by the rest of the horses in the race.

Fozzy Osbourne is yet another long-long shot. He was a bit down the pack on debut, finishing ninth after being a bit slowly away, but will come on for that run, so I would expect more today. While a tad heavy in this bunch, he has handy Ashley Lewis claiming 5 lbs. EW 2P
