She finished a never-nearer 7th in a 7f maiden at Catterick on her debut and looked more in need of the experience than some of her opponents on that occasion. She wasn’t beaten far but was well below that form next time at Thirsk over the same trip. That came just 10 days after her debut, and that might well have been a factor, as she was much better next time at Beverley over a marginally longer trip. She moved into handicaps last time at Ripon but didn’t get the clearest of runs late on. Kept to 8f here from a slightly lower mark, she is well worth a second look.

This is a race that will not take a lot of winning. Ed De Giles clearly thought that this horse had some ability, but he has not produced it to date. However, he has been racing well above his class, and the drop to this company he may find far more to his liking. He is the complete outsider at a big price. I would not be surprised if he makes the frame.
