The Woodcorner won on the flat in France and has won two of his five starts over hurdles since joining Nicky Henderson. He won easily by 5.5 lengths at Ffos Las last month and looks to have a good chance of following up off 6 lbs higher.

Banderas came back for seasonal debut 17 days ago in a class 3 at this track 2m good and like the last time he raced at this venue in May he shaped as if further would suit. His win over hurdles at Southwell was over today's longer trip on good ground and there's a strong chance his latest outing brought him back to full fitness. That being the case he offers some good EW value in this contest at around the 14/1 mark available this morning.

Looks a progressive type for a yard that does well at this track. Looked beaten last time out but rallied back to win. Up eight pounds for that close win, which does look harsh. Further progress expected. Conditions look ideal too.

Terrorise was thrown in the deep end on hurdling debut in a Grade One at Aintree last year and followed that up with improved efforts to finish 3rd, then win when last seen over hurdles at Cartmel virtually a year ago. He was probably not suited to the quirky Chester track last time out on the level, just under two weeks ago. That should have set him up perfectly for today, and he should go well with four places on offer.

Has won here four times but, as of late, has not been the same horse. However, at odds of 40/1 with four places, a small each-way stake is worth it.
