Henri Matisse proved to be a class act when battling to victory in the French 2,000 Guineas just over a month ago. Won at the breeders cup last year on similar ground so it should hold no fears. Likely to go very close for top connections to stay unbeaten this season. NAP

If there is due to be a shock in this years St James's Palace Stakes then the Brian Meehan trained Rashabar could be the answer. Has winning course form at this Royal meeting as won last year's Coventry. Didn't have much luck in running in the 2000 Guineas at the Curragh just over three weeks ago when finishing 4th of 9. Is possibly overpriced considering the focus on the front three in the market and is no back number. Worth the risk at a huge price for so little runners.
