I Love My Baie has had very little exposure over today's distance, and it could bring out the best in them. Ran a decent race without troubling the judge over a couple of furlongs shorter at Ayr just over three weeks ago. Is lightly weighed and could well outrun their odds, running into a place at the very least against rivals who have had harder races at Cheltenham and Aintree recently. Worth the risk.

King of York has an excellent record over today’s course and distance with four victories and a similar number of placed efforts and is the selection to add in an open race. Their penultimate run here over a furlong longer than today’s trip finished 6th of 8 and probably didn't get the mile. Back over 7f on a course they obviously like is overpriced for me and should be thereabouts at the finish.

Sixandahalf had several of these behind them when 2nd of 23 in the Ryanair Mares Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham and has yet to be outside the top two in four starts. This is slightly calmer waters to the Festival and is the one they all have to beat.

Brookie is a chance taking value bet against the front two in the market who can be taken on for different reasons. Hot favourite Marlborough didn't jump well at Cheltenham and only by night had a hard race in finishing 2nd in the same race. Brookie gets on very well with jockey Sam Twiston-Davies with one victory and two placed efforts from four starts. Shown to be no back number when winning at Doncaster on 1st March. Jumps well and could put the market leaders under pressure early. Worth chancing in a small but competitive field.

Crambo beat Hiddenvalleylake by the shortest of distances in late December, who then franked the form when winning the Ivy Liverpool Hurdle on Grand National day. Fell in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham, and if staying on their feet here, could well be staying on at the finish and is worth chancing that a big prize is on the cards.

The Simon Crisford yard won this 12 months ago, and their representative, Prepare To Strike, could be very well named today with further improvement highly likely stepping up in distance. Was 3rd on debut at Southwell and 5th of 14 at Kempton just over three weeks ago. The extra couple of furlongs could be the making of the son of Wingman. Should be thereabouts for a top trainer.

R. Mike Smith had a 50/1 winner at Punchestown on Tuesday, so his yard is in decent recent form. I will take their representative, Ski Angel, who won this race last year, to double up. Wasn't beaten that far, as the 6th place suggests, after over 150 days off the track. With the cobwebs blown away, he should be in the mix to take this. NAP

Kilwaughter won in decent fashion on debut at Down Royal on Boxing Day and has since been transferred to the Hobb/White yard. Finished 6th of 15 on debut for the new yard in the Grand National bumper, and better is expected with the jockey who rode them when winning, Stephen Connor, back on board and claims a vital 7 lbs. Should be thereabouts at the finish with further improvement on only their third start. NB
