Loves this course. Won here four times, so at this price must be a bet. He won this race 12 months ago. Looks well handicapped and showed improved form last time out.

The 8-year-old looks value at 9/1 for each-way, effectively well-handicapped, running off a career-low rating. While recent form is inconsistent, she showed promise at Newcastle in January and has previously performed well over this trip at Hexham.

Former pointer Yapper Hill finished a distant 3rd over course and distance last June on his first run for the Bewleys since arriving from Ireland. His best run since was a 4th place in a handicap at Wetherby last time, where he took up the running too soon and faded over two miles. He has fallen to a mark of 88, at which he should be competitive.

Things haven’t gone to plan for the 10yo this campaign, but hopefully a two-month break could see him turning things around. He posted three nice RPR ratings this time last year. He was only beaten 3L in a stronger handicap than this race. He has a 12 lb lower now, and another 7 lb is taken off his back by a good apprentice claiming jockey.
