Won last time out at Catterick under similar race conditions and appears to be amongst a weak field. Competed well over similar distances at Wolverhampton earlier this year and expect this to continue tomorrow.

Star Of Jupiter has achieved better placings since moving up in distance to two miles with a record of 233 at the trip. He appears to be suited by the forecast sound surface. The horse has been noted as rallying in two of his last three outings and looks like a tough stayer. The very sharp Catterick course may not have shown him in the best light and he can be better suited by today's galloping track with stamina more at a premium. His stable saddled a double on Tuesday. Rhys Clutterbuck takes over in the saddle with a winner and three placed results from his last six rides.

Adrian is still a maiden after 18 starts, but he has been showing signs of improvement in his last 3 starts, all here at Ffos Las. He was 4th in a 1m6f handicap in June before finishing 2nd, beaten just 1 length over 2 miles 8 days later. He was then beaten favorite in a small field handicap last month, though only beaten 1.5 lengths. He was placed on debut on soft ground, so won't mind any rain and looks like a good EW bet with 4 places on offer.

Cogital appeals here as a proven Ffos Las stayer with rock solid recent course form (won over 14f on 9 July, then a close third on 29 July, and previously third over 2m on 30 June). Now returning under a workable OR 57 from draw 5 with Joey Haynes booked. The combination of track affinity, stamina at this trip and a fair mark makes him a good prospect.

BLACK SMOKE won when last seen over this distance at Chepstow and is only a pound higher on the return to this trip, so is worth a look at this price. Not sure what happened at Bath last time out, but prepared to forgive that run as an off day and could fare better this time around. The stable's in good nick too.

2025 not going to plan so far, but has really fallen off the weights. Hoping he can rediscover the spark from 2021, which saw him achieve 3 consecutive wins. But he will have to do it the hard way, going up in class.

SLACK ALICE could be a staying filly who is a steal racing from such a low handicap mark. She has been freshened up running for a yard who have not sent many out recently and who rarely send a young horse on this long a journey. Stamina influence in the bloodline and she would be of even more interest if the money came for her when the market had built liquidity.
