Woodleigh deserves his place at the head of the market. The current price of 7/2 is restrictive for his chance. Palmarian won a very poorly contested race and has more on his plate today. Electric Lightening showed much improvement last time and had some half-decent Class Six horses behind him. If he continues that improvement, he will go close today at a decent price; currently 7/1.

Two of the Alan Brown-trained Princess Niyla's three career wins have come over a mile and a quarter. This year she has been running mainly over a mile and a half. Last time out she was seriously interfered with in a rough race at Doncaster. She runs here off two lbs lower, which is five lbs lower than when winning at Beverley last season.

Excellent each-way value here with the 4 places. On a career high of 60 but is bang in form. Her last run off the same mark was good, with her leading in the final furlong but tiring into third and only losing by a length and a half. This slightly shorter distance today will help, and with Rhys Elliott also taking off 5 pounds, she has a great chance.

This one's yard had a winner yesterday, and I'm hoping this gelding can give them another. He's returning after a break, so he may need it, but he's an each-way price, so is worth risking.

Two turf runs for the 4yo this year. Not beaten far two weeks ago, had every chance and not given a hard time when headed late on. Something to build on, a 3lb lower mark now and his opening handicap mark last autumn was 17lb higher. He has the added help of the jockey claiming 5lb today.
