Berry Clever ran three times in two weeks in May. After a second at Yarmouth, he went back there to win well under De Sousa. He went there again last time but, under an apprentice, ran on well but was too late to be a close fourth of seven (beaten only a length). De Sousa returns, and the horse has had a few weeks' rest and runs off a pound less than last time.

Only 1-13 on turf but has posted a couple of solid efforts this spring and was a good 5th in a big field at York last time. Dropped a lb for that so should go very well today.

Richard and Peter Fahey's horses are in fine form and 'THEY ALL KNOW ME left two consecutive 8th places behind when getting head in front last time and despite shouldering top weight looks sure to contest finish with veteran jockey David Nolan in the saddle

Pulsar Star has finished runner-up in three of his six starts. Back down in class after a fair run in a 0-80 handicap at York last time, he should find this easier and might be good enough to get off the mark at this level.

This horse has been badly out of form and, as a result, is now down to a career low. Alongside this, he drops into a Class Five race for the first time. He's more than capable of being involved but still rates as a risky proposition. Just the kind of bet that piques my interest. Likely to bounce back sometime soon.

This veteran has previously won over this C&D. With his established skills on this track and a reduction to Class 5, he presents solid chances for a place at 16/1.
