Bearing in mind that Castle Stuart is only a 4-year old there may still be more to come from him. He was with Karl Burke but has started well for his new yard. This trip should suit.

Decent form last year from the 4yo filly. Improvement again in her two runs this year. A 3L win and a narrow defeat last time out. The winner from her last race was raised 8 lb, and the form looks solid. Every chance off her current mark.

Impressive when successful on the bow over course and distance last year. Ran too freely in his last race for his previous trainer at Ascot. A strong pace should get him settled and produce a good run.

He is a promising each-way candidate at 12/1, taking into account his remarkable recent form, which features two runner-up finishes at Hamilton this month. As a hold-up type, he will likely excel on the demanding Carlisle track if he is given a strong pace to target.

Might be worth a go at the win. This one was a very close Listed third at Hamilton last July over a furlong shorter, finishing within a length of them. Those two horses are now rated 110 and 109. Just three runs later he's running off 90, and only two of those could be seen as bad (one on heavy ground, one on his return after five months out).
