The middle-drawn numbers seem to have done well in this over the last five years, and trainer Dylan Cunha won this before in 2024. No surprise if he can do the same here and get among the four places on offer.

Drawn in stall 11, which is within the range of middle-drawn numbers that have done well in this in the last five years. Dam was a 5f winner; sire was a 6f Group 1 winner. No surprises if he's got plenty of speed.

Group 3 winner back in October, who comes here with a run under his belt. Okay to win this aged 7, the same age as last year's winner. Goes well on soft, sand or firmer. Looks value with four places on offer.

Finished 5th in this race last year. Held up and kept on to finish within two lengths of the winner. Drawn 11 that day; he's drawn 7 for this, and there is plenty of pace to latch on to from the low numbers. He's down 7 lb on last year's effort, and a talented apprentice takes off another 5 lb. Great chance of getting among the six places.

From the Charlie Appleby yard, so fitness and ability are assured. Raced at Group 1 level as a 2yo and not far behind the likes of Wimbledon Hawkeye, Hotazhell, and Delacroix over CD in October 2024. Mark might be high for a handicap, but the apprentice takes off 7 lb, so it's a good opportunity for him. Instructions might be just a nice, simple race: get him to the front and keep going. Could easily be the Group horse in a handicap type and may well have gone quietly under the radar for a stable that knows how to win this. A high draw makes it tough, but he might still prove tough to beat.
