He steps into nurseries after a trio of novice outings where he found some promise??'finishing third of 10 at Chester and fourth of 11 at Southwell, both over 6 f, showing early speed and the scope to improve over this minimum trip. Rated 62, he's now more fairly treated and the drop to 5 f should help sharpen his kick. Warren Fentiman’s 5 lb claim brings weight relief at a critical time, and a small field of 11 runners makes it easier to manage the race flow. Beverley’s 5f trip has one of the strongest draw biases in the country, with low numbers enjoying a big edge. The inside rail not only saves ground around the bend but also starts higher up the hill than the wider stalls, making life tough for those drawn out wide, so drawn 3 is a nice sit here for Grey Horizon.

Dinamo won last month off a 52 in C5, and although unable to follow up off a 54 in C6, I think she is worth another shot off the same mark with Jamin back in the saddle who was on top for that last win and could bounce back.

Oasis Diamond is a 2-year-old filly trained by Michael & David Easterby and ridden by Billy Garrity. She won on her nursery handicap debut in her penultimate start at Catterick over 5f on today's good to firm ground, beating 11-10f Gillali Lass, who finished 4.75 lengths ahead of the third-placed horse. Oasis Diamond led at a fast pace on her last start off a 5lb higher mark and paid the price late on. However, there is a big pace bias at Beverley, with prominent runners being heavily favored. If Oasis Diamond pings the gates from stall 5 and grabs a good position early, she may prove difficult to pick up. Put in a RFC with Tenors Inn, who is likely to pick up a few stragglers in the closing stages.

This filly has shown enough to suggest she can figure off her current mark. She disappointed a bit last time given that she'd run well at Thirsk, so the headgear that was experimented with there is dispensed with. She drops down to five again now and could have a blast out and try to make all.

Tenor's Inn is a 2-year-old gelding trained by Nigel Tinkler and ridden by Rowan Scott. His best run to date was over CD and he made a fair nursery debut on his last start, rallying in the closing stages over 6f. Today's drop back in trip to the minimum distance is a query, but he is likely to get a fast pace to aim at with Oasis Diamond as a likely pace angle. Tenor's Inn has looked like he needs some experience and is slowly getting to grips. Down 2lb to 57, this full brother to the Nigel Tinkler-trained Seargeant Mayor, a three-time winning sprinter who won off marks of 56-60-63 and placed multiple times, can figure in proceedings. Out in a RFC with Oasis Diamond.

Davorge Nation had three runs in three weeks during June/July. Didn't achieve much but now had a month off before his handicap debut. Hasn't got the best of draws but has shown good early speed, so may be sharp enough to overcome the wide draw.

A speculative wager on the maiden to break its duck, with four places for each way purposes. Has only had three runs and has yet to make an impression but has not been highly tried in stiffer company. The trainer, Coyle, who had a winner with his last runner, owns the horse. If there is any money on the course, it could be a positive sign.
