Things not really gone to plan for the 6yo this year but he is on an attractive mark now, a good jockey booking and is dropping down into a class 6 contest. He ran plenty nice races last summer/autumn while racing off around a 17lb higher mark.

3 times winner who was a winner over this course and distance on latest outing last month. Raised 4lbs but that likely to be manageable and should be there or thereabouts

Mike Smith's three-year-old filly Lanarra was beaten just over a length when third over this C&D 12 days ago. She has been running well this season and has been placed in three of her four starts. She gets in here off the same mark of 49 she carried last time, and I think a repeat of that run could be enough today.

As long as the rain holds off, this one should be fine. It's only Class 6 today, which is where its wins have come previously. The claim should help offset the official rating, which looks on the high end.

Masai Angel looks an interesting outsider at around 22/1. He's lightly raced, carries just 9st 7lb, and represents Richard Fahey with Jack Garritty booked. If improving from his recent run and taking to Ayr's 6f, he could outrun his odds and get involved late.
