4:00 Ascot Tips

Finished 2nd to Arry Up at Kempton on last start. Already sided with the 3rd in an earlier race on the card. Ed Walker's horses have been in flying form and are now returning to the turf. They could well find greater improvement.

Completed a hat-trick over the distance (6f) at Kempton a month ago. Up 5 lb for that, but seems sure to go well again.

Track and this stiff 6f will suit. Excuses the last twice: not acting at Newmarket and badly hampered on reappearance run last time. Should go well here.

Stepping back up to 6f, and a stiff 6f will suit. Fitter than most, having had a couple of recent runs. Won on similar ground last season and looks on a handy mark.

Red Snapper ended last term as a 2yo with a C6 win off a 60 and returned from the break last month to a decent C4 second off a 64 with Laura in the saddle, claiming 3 lb. As a 3yo I would expect more on this second run, even though up 1 lb, while keeping Laura in the saddle and her claim. EW 5P

A late furlong and not the smallest horse, so we should see a lot more as it grows into the frame. It ran at Kempton since being gelded and finished 5th, but did quicken very nicely. It was the only horse in the race to put in a sub-11 second sectional late on. It's a big field today, but if on the right side of the track it could get through late on if the gaps are there to pick up at least one of the five places on offer.

A very open sprint where Fair Isle appeals at a big-looking 16/1. He will be fitter for his handicap debut, where he was just touched off. That was the same grade as today’s and from a lower mark he is set to be competitive. A high draw is also a major plus.

This filly looked decent in the first part of last year before tailing off ahead of a winter break. The return run at Ripon last month was a decent effort, finishing fifth of thirteen. If she steps forward, she could run into the places at generous odds.

Won wwll in a novice at Kempton last time. Goes handicapping now and is no forlorn hope here. Each-way chances today

A workmanlike return, 4/7 over 7f round Kempton AW five weeks ago. Prominent, outpaced, then stayed. This drop to 6f on the straight course can see him in the van all the way at good odds.
