He won a useful handicap three weeks ago over this 16f trip, posting a high RPR rating and just a 3lb rise in the weights looks generous. The 2nd and 4th from that last race had both run big races in the £88K Chester Cup back in May, so the form looks solid. Ryan Moore gets the ride.

Racing 3lb below his last win, Charlie Johnston's 4yo will appreciate the return to two miles & looks worth an ew play.

Kilmeaden looks to have a nice profile for this race after a recent move from Donnacha Aidan O'Brien to Faye Bramley. A Galway winner on the Flat in 2025 and at Punchestown over hurdles, he has been shaping well, including an excellent effort when third of 24 in a competitive Curragh handicap. Last time out he caught the eye when upped in trip in a race that was run at a strong pace. On and off the bridle, he was outpaced entering the straight and looked as though he was fading away, but picked up really strongly in the closing stages to finish a creditable fifth, not beaten far. The race is working out well, with some subsequent winners and others running well next time out. Only a four-year-old who looks well handicapped, he could go well at 7/1 for an each-way bet.
