Honesty Policy won a Grade 1 here last year in a two-and-a-half-mile novice hurdle. Although only fifth behind Home By The Lee in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham, he could reverse that here at Aintree.

This one was beaten 5.5L by Kabral De Mathan in the Grade 3 Relkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham in Jan and won the MGM Cup back there in March by 6L, both off a mark of 144. Comes here in good form, but will the Aintree hoodoo strike, having never run here before? Trainer and jockey had a good relationship, so a chance is taken that this course will suit. He will follow up.

Likes it here . Won race back in 2024 & was 2nd last year . Has a mixed bag this year winning Grade 2 , 2nd in Grade 2 & Grade 1 before finishing last of 6 in the Cleeve 77 days ago . Has had wind surgery & wears 1st time tongue tie to get him back on track .

Impose Toi ran poorly in the Stayers' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. This return to a flatter, faster track should be much more to his liking, and an improved performance is likely.

The Henry De Bromhead-trained Hiddenvalley has run well in this race for the last two seasons. In 2024 he finished third, and then last year he won by just under three lengths. He appears to have been lightly campaigned this season, with only one run under his belt. He should come into this race fresh and ready to give it a good go in seeking to retain his title.

Now tackling 3 miles for the first time. Intriguing Air of Entitlement should have more to offer after showing improvement when beating Hot Fuss in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham four weeks ago. She has won four times in eight runs (50%) on good-to-soft or similar going. One to watch.

She is a resilient and dependable mare with strong each-way prospects. Last month, she secured a commendable 4th place at Cheltenham and has several Grade 2 placings over a distance of 3m. Her determination and ability to adapt to different ground conditions make her a trustworthy contender at odds of 25/1.

His best days may be behind him but fan favourite HEWICK is no slouch in this sphere. He ran 7th to Home By The Lee when last seen in the Grade 1 Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham 4 weeks ago. Jockey Paddy Hanlon has won twice in four rides (50%) when aboard. Lively outsider.
