Rising Dust looks a blot on the handicap, going back to chasing off a mark of only 86, having recently won two consecutive handicap hurdles, taking his hurdles mark up to 111. However, he finished a poor sixth off that mark last time after sustaining an injury. After three weeks, he should have fully recovered.

Plain Or Battered runs off 87 after returning from a break with a solid third over 3m at Punchestown, despite fading later on. Now back down in trip, and Rothwell and Callaghan have good stats here. He also handles this soft ground well and although his form can be inconsistent, the conditions and distance should suit him here. He looks a good each-way chance if he stays on better this time, in my opinion.

Midnight Moonshine has been running credibly in defeat and surely will have a decent chance here to at least place, given the extra place terms on offer.

Person Of Interest won his 3rd chase start at Downpatrick in August, comfortably taking a 2m3f handicap chase by 12 lengths. He went up 5 lbs for that, but has remained competitive, finishing 3rd at Clonmel in October and 4th at Fairyhouse earlier this month. He possibly did not stay 3 miles last time, so the drop to 2m6f looks ideal. Down 3 lbs, he looks like a good each-way bet with 5 places on offer.

A light-raced maiden, this 8-year-old pulled up in a handicap chase at Punchestown two weeks ago. It is probable he required that outing after an eight-month layoff. Now with blinkers on for the first time, though he still looks risky as a point winner, he merits another chance. Placing a small each-way wager at 40/1 looks a risk worth taking.
