He returns freshened up after a 321-day break, having not gone unfancied on his last racecourse run, finishing 4/16, beaten 7.50 lengths, and was sent off as short as 6-1. He was seen to be making good headway three out. If fit, he should be competitive, being out of a 140-rated dam, Rock On The Moor.

Not beaten far when runner-up at Wexford last time out, and the 2 lbs increase still leaves her on a reasonable enough mark for her to take this.

Here I am again looking for things that probably aren't there, but in the unrelenting quest for 'potential' value, I'm willing to have a very little stab at Adrian Sexton's 7-year-old gelding TOWNSCUPSIXTYTHREE. He wasn't awful on handicap bow 9 days ago at Ballinrobe (23f Good), finishing 5th but weakening before the last, whilst the penultimate effort at Downpatrick (22f Good) was a similar story, 'throwing down a challenge 2 out before fading.' So today, a drop in trip to 20½f looks the right call. Jockey Harry Sexton (7lb claimer) remains in the plate for his father and has a 25% place strike rate the past month and a 33.33% place strike rate here the past 5 years. The trainer reaches for the first-time hood to try to settle this charge. This son of VALIRAAN is dropped 1lb and turned around fairly quickly, which could be a sign in itself. At 20/1 currently, I'm happy to dip my toe in the hope this lad can improve a little to potentially be in the minor money.
