The Mourne Rambler was held up to win the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival, and that form should be good enough to win again here against the impressive Gowran Park winner Dromard, who won on his debut by a wide margin on heavy.

Dromard is a 5-year-old son of Dr. Dino out of La Coquette from the family of Le Miracle by Monsun. LTO on his racecourse debut in a 2m2f bumper at Gowran Park, he won by 21l at 10/11f in March. He moves up here to a Grade 1 bumper where he drops back to 2m. He'll again be ridden by Mr P. W. Mullins for his father, W. P. Mullins, in the colours of Dr. Fitzgerald. The stable won this race last season with Bambino Fever (11/8f) by Jukebox Jury. As the selection bypassed both Cheltenham and Aintree, I think he can win here. I napped him previously, and I'll nap him once again here.

After achieving a strong 4th place in the Cheltenham Grade 1 Bumper, where he recorded the quickest final furlong, trainer Gavin Cromwell indicates that he is in excellent shape and very competitive. This positions him as a significant each-way contender.

Willie Mullins has won 9 of the last 11 runnings of this race, so this looks a good each-way shout with the jockey winning the last two renewals. The horse finished a 4L 7th of 21 at Cheltenham LTO in the Champion Bumper.

The most likely winner is The Mourne Rambler, but at 28/1. Nolimit Appeals is an each-way bet if able to reproduce the runner-up effort in February at the DRF.
