Love Me Tender won his first three races back in 2025 a bumper and two hurdle races including a Grade 3 novice hurdle. He has not won since but ran in three Grade 1 and one Grade 2 hurdle and now switches to fences with Harry Cobden up.

Bowensonfire brings a strike rate of 33% over hurdles, with five wins from 15 attempts. Trained by Gordon Elliott, whose stable is operating at 21% over the past fortnight, he has placed in eight of those starts and shown he can handle the demands of this trip. His consistency at this level compares favorably with less exposed rivals in the field.

Won previously at this meeting. Only second start over fences but proven stamina will be useful around here. Should go well
