He returned with a respectable 3rd over 6f on heavy ground, beaten 4¾L, before improving when dropped to 5f on soft to heavy over this course and distance at the Curragh, finishing 2nd, beaten 1½L by Bodhi Bear, now rated 95. That effort highlights both his current form and suitability to these conditions. He has shown a consistent liking for this track and trip, particularly when there is ease in the ground. Additionally, his ability to stay slightly further suggests he’ll be finishing his race strongly, which is often a key asset in testing conditions over 5f. With proven course form, suitable ground, and a solid recent run behind a well-treated rival, he looks well placed to go close if building again on that latest effort.

Could be a case of deja vu for Cuban Grey, as he won this race last year after finishing 2nd at Bellewstown. He has just been beaten into 2nd at Bellewstown again and could repeat last year's win.

Gazelle Dor, this filly had a good victory two starts ago, over CD, and looked like she had a bit more left in the tank aswell. This horse has won before after a 60 day plus break, with today's jockey on aboard. She went up 6lbs for that victory over CD, put found the ground a bit challenging, the start after her victory. Jack Cleary has a good record on this horse, and there maybe more improvement to come, over this 5f trip. Should be shorter than 11/1. Nice ew bet.
