Howayahoney is a 4-year-old filly sired by Califet, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, a yard that was in excellent form at the Listowel Festival. There is no reason to believe she will turn the corner now handicapping, but she's a second foal and full sister to A Boy The Kid, who has run twice in bumpers with an RPR of 104. She is out of an ordinary dam, Howayadoing (IRE), who only ran in bumpers but was a seventh foal related to six individual winners, notably Doing Fine 141 and Johnnywho 152, sired by Califet. Howayahoney could find her feet today given her pedigree and trainer's recent good form.
