Barracuda Championship Tips

Max Homa is ranked just outside the top 100. He looks to have returned to form with a T5 at the John Deere Classic, which included a 1st round 63. A player who has huge talent. Predict him to do well in this event.

Rico Hoey finished 8th at the Barracuda Championship 2024. He struggled in the first round but then played better as he learned the course a bit. He had a big round 2 that was one of the best at the tournament. I think he can start like that this time.

His awful first round killed his last week in Scotland, but then he shot a 68, which shows his class. So, hoping for a better start here back in the US and he can prove good value here.

Sam Ryder is a player that has many good first rounds this year. First round leader at Valero Texas Open. Four other sub-66 first rounds this year.

Has been out of form, but on a track which could well suit. The fact is, in his last US event, although his 1st round was below average, he then shot a 65 at the John Deere. So, hoping for a repeat of that round early here.

With his best finish this season last week at the ISCO, he ended T14, which was a great result. More impressive was his 67 in his 1st round, showing his ability to start well and hit a low round. He could be great value here.

David Lipsky had a very good John Deere Classic. He finished T3 there and started with a 64 in the first round. He is not far behind the favorites in skills at the Barracuda Championship. I like him for the 1st round.

Paul Peterson ranks highly on driving accuracy at first place in this field. He managed to get a 2nd place finish in the ISCO Championship last week.

Cristobal Del Solar played his best round in the 1st round in the last 2 tournaments. He played 66 in the 1st round at ISCO last week.

John Pak was the 1st round leader in May at the Charles Schwab Challenge. It was a much tougher tournament in terms of opponents' level than the Barracuda Championship. I like him at the given odds.
