European Tour 2 Tips

From what I saw of the draw at this European tournament, three of the four best players in the ranking list will not participate. The favorite is Gian van Veen, if he participates.

I will go with Josh Rock here because Rock has played very well lately and he is a top-10 player. He made a nine-darter during the Premier League recently, and he also reached the final of the UK Open. So obviously Rock is reliable now.

Wessel Nijman still goes in search of his maiden European Tour title, but it is only a matter of time. He made a run to the quarter-finals in the opening ET event of the season, where it took a 107.5 average from World Championship finalist Gian van Veen to stop him. His form on the floor has been sensational for well over a year now, with him winning 3 of his last 9 Players Championship events played.

Smith has played well this year and has won a floor title, so he will be looking to bounce back from the UK doubles nightmare here. Tough draw, though.

Kevin is playing very good darts lately, and through recent withdrawals he has gotten quite an easy draw against a Nordic qualifier, Crabtree, and possibly Damon Heta. I see him having a deep run this weekend.

German darter, 25-year-old rising star Niko Springer enjoyed a breakout year in 2025 on the European Tour, winning his first event in the Hungarian Darts Trophy and was also a finalist in the Dutch Darts Open. Playing in his native homeland of Germany in the European Darts Trophy in Göttingen, he is worth an investment at 100/1 each way this weekend.
