Gian van Veen reached the final last year, and those were the first matches he won in the World Championship at Alexandra Palace. I think, much like Luke Littler??'who lost in the final and then came back the next year to win it??'Gian can do the same and become world champion.

The Green Machine has picked up a couple of World Series events at the time of writing, and I fancy MVG could have another tilt at the World Championship. He is a multiple world champion and reached the final two years ago at Ally Pally. I am siding with Michael van Gerwen to go all the way to another world final.

Bunting to finish top two makes strong sense because his controlled scoring rhythm, tournament temperament, and ability to raise his doubling level in long-format pressure matches give him the stability to navigate the deep rounds where volatility drops and experience becomes the decisive edge.

As we speak now in April, she has a further eight months until the latter stages of the World Championship to get more stage and TV experience. If she can do that, she will make these odds look silly come December.

Rob Cross is showing signs of getting back to his old self, and the multiple major winner could make these odds look silly if he gets his TV game back before the end of the year. He is a previous winner, having won on debut in 2018, and in two of the last three World Championships it has been Luke Littler who has knocked him out. I think Cross could make a deep run in a major and maybe even win one in the next six months. If he does, he could go off as low as 20/1 to pick up his second World Championship.
