Ran a blinding race last time out finding a very good horse in small field last time. Carried 9 stone 8 last time, today carries 5lbs more but if can reproduce that run should win. Improving with every run. The time ran last time is good.
This looks a great opportunity for John Reel to break his maiden tag in a race packed full of no-hopers. He has shown consistent form on his two flat starts over shorter trips and proved consistent in his nhf and hurdle career.
Royal Battalion appears his only opposition based on the market but I see little reason why he is rated so highly by the bookies given the weak form of his debut run over a mile. He has a massive amount to prove and should certainly be 5/1 or more in my book. The remainder are a shocking bunch and I would be very disappointed to see the selection beaten here today.

Showed improvement since returning to this yard running twice this month for 4th at Kempton 1m then 2ND at this course 1m141y. Stepping up to 1m5f194y for this should not be a problem for the Bumper (1m5f) and Hurdler (2m) winner. Three bumper runs for this yard in 2012-2013 season went for 1ST, 3RD, and 2ND.
This weak maiden event can go to the nicely bred Royal Battalion out of Sea The Stars strong jockey booking and can leave its first run behind to get off the mark here very expensive purchase recoup some of that price tag back to day

remains a maiden after 11 atempts, but could be in line for more minor place money here, 19L 5th at Southwell last time out behind master dan.
Cannot understand why this is quoted at this price its best form is in or around this distance although it has been running at further and mostly over jumps. By Galileo it needs middle distances and with its long distance runs it has been trained to run at further than its bred distance. Should place and may win this at a huge price. Easily the most experienced horse in the race against a bunch of novices must score.each way.

This has the feel of a jumpers bumper, with a few of these more at home over obstacles than they are on the flat. Direct Approach ran a stinker on his come back over hurdles last December, but then stepped up on that next time up, winning a jumpers bumper at Southwell. This is a totally different surface and he'll have to step up on form, but he was having his come back run last time up over shorter here.'
