 A cool feature in the Wildest Gambit is that you can choose locations by pressing the globe icon at the top of the screen. You can journey to Chile, Peru, and India. You can also unlock a 4th destination, Egypt, by triggering the Free Spins in all of the other locations. 

When you toggle between places, the imagery, music, and sound effects change to match the location, fully immersing you.

On the reels, you can see various adventurer-themed items the highest value symbol is the Scatter, landing 5 of these awards 125 x the bet. Here’s a rundown of all of the symbols:

Locations

• Peru: Cat manages the lead feature with expanding wilds. The support feature involves an upgrade from Gerard with a chance to make wilds sticky with a respin. Any new wilds on a respin expand and become sticky, and then extra respins are awarded to you.
• Chili: Rich Wilde leads with a multiplier wild feature, which has values between 2x and 8x. Cat offers the support feature, an upgrade with a chance to expand the wilds if triggered.
• India: Gerard leads this time with a sticky wild feature and Rich is the support feature where he upgrades with a chance to apply multipliers to the sticky wilds if triggered. Here, sticky wilds trigger respins.
• Egypt: Once you have triggered the free spins rounds in each of the 3 locations above, you unlock the mysterious Egypt. Rich leads here with a multiplier wild feature. And Cat manages the supporting feature, which is an expansion feature.

Free Spins

The scatter is depicted by the Phylactery of Ra symbol. Landing 3 or more scatters triggers the free spins bonus round, where you receive 8 free spins. Landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters also awards a win of 5x, 25x, or 125x the bet, respectively. 

A special expanding symbol is randomly chosen for each round for a chance to win more free spins. It expands to cover the reel and is combined with the wild features.

Extra free spins can be awarded by retriggering the feature with the same 3 or more scatters. Triggering free spins in Chile, Peru, and India charges the Phylactery of Ra and unlocks the final destination of Egypt.

Wilds

Wilds appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 only and they substitute for all symbols apart from scatters.

• Multiplier Wilds: Wilds may bring 2x, 4x or 8x multipliers when part of a win.
• Expanding Wilds: When this wild lands it expands vertically to fill the entire reel, transforming all positions on that reel into wilds.
• Sticky Wilds: When this wild lands, it will become sticky and grants at least 1 respin. Should additional sticky wilds land during a respin, they too become sticky and additional respins are awarded.

Will I ever shake the urge to run and roll under every rapidly closing door I pass? The strong storyline of Wildest Gambit, featuring the fearless Wilde family, really draws you in, making it an immersive experience.

The Wilde family’s adventures revolve around the legendary Book of Dead, which has been in their family for generations. One of the first slot games in this entire series is named after the Book of Dead, which features the charismatic Rich Wilde. During gameplay, it was entertaining to press the globe and toggle between Chile, Peru, and India, where each location has its distinct vibe. I particularly enjoyed the laid-back Chilean music.

The game ticks the box for RTP at 96% and a decent max win of 20,000 x the bet. If you enjoy wild features you’ll enjoy Wildest Gambit as it’s stuffed with them in all shapes and sizes. I liked the way it was packaged with the locations and leading and supporting features, although when you get into the details, it was a bit flat. A bit more variety in features would have really spiced things up.
