Le King Slot (Hacksaw Gaming)

The Le King slot is played on a 6x5 grid with Cluster Pays payouts. To form a winning cluster, you need 5 or more matching symbols to appear adjacent to one another. The larger the cluster, the bigger the payout: the top payout per symbol is awarded when you land 12 or more in a cluster, allowing for multiple cluster wins.

With the minimum bet at 10p per spin, the maximum is £5 (or £2 if you’re under 25 in the UK). To adjust your bet amount, use the up and down arrows. Players located outside the UK can opt for Autoplay (up to 1,000 auto spins) as well as Turbo and Super Turbo modes.

In terms of return rates, the Le King RTP rate is 96.14%. Hacksaw Gaming has also produced alternative RTP settings: 94.18% and 92.25% (open the ‘Paytable’ to check). The Le King free demo above uses the highest setting, as do all demo slots at OLBG (where available).

Medium volatility (3/5), the hit frequency rate is 41.33% (for all RTP versions). This means that, on average, a winning cluster will form every 2.42 spins. When it comes to win potential, Le King comes with 20,000 x bet max wins. This can be won in the base game as well as the various bonus features.

Having travelled to Paris in Le Bandit, ancient Egypt in Le Pharaoh, and walked the halls of Valhalla in Le Viking, Smokey the raccoon is back in the Las Vegas-themed Le King slot. Set in Spin City, he is disguised as Elvis Presley (‘The King’). Rather than his usual bandit mask, you’ll see him in a sequined jumpsuit.

With classic Las Vegas-style imagery, the soundtrack resembles Elvis’ iconic songs without actually being them. With bright lights and neon signs, there is no mistaking the fact that Hacksaw’s favourite raccoon is on the Strip.  

On the 6x5 grid, low-value symbols include A, K, Q, J and 10 royals. The higher-value symbols include watermelon slices, dice, microphones, casino chips and a roulette wheel. Highest-paying is the roulette wheel, which rewards you with 25 times your total bet for 12 or more in a cluster.

In terms of special symbols, there are Golden Squares that appear behind winning symbols. You’ll also see Neon Rainbow symbols, which activate Golden Squares: they will then reveal Bronze, Silver or Gold Coins as well as Treasure Pots, Green or Gold Clovers and Jackpot Markers. With a FS Scatter, there is a Wild symbol that substitutes for all paying symbols.

Le King Mobile

All Hacksaw Gaming slots are produced with HTML5 technology. This means Le King can be played on mobile, desktop and tablet devices. Compatible with Windows, iOS and Android devices, it uses Portrait Mode if using a smartphone.

The Le King slot has lots of bonus features. With Cascades, winning symbols leave Golden Squares on the grid, which are activated by Neon Rainbows. Revealing Coins, Clover, Treasure Pots and Jackpot Markers, the latter can award the game’s max win of 20,000 x bet. With 3 free spins features, there are permanent Golden Squares and guaranteed Neon Rainbow symbols to increase your winning potential.

Cascades

When you land a winning cluster, the winning symbols are removed from the grid, with the remaining symbols dropping down into the empty positions. New symbols fall in from above to give you another chance of a winning outcome. The process repeats itself until no new winning clusters are formed.

Golden Squares

When a winning cluster of 5+ matching symbols appears on the grid, the squares behind the winning symbols transform into Golden Squares. The Golden Squares are activated if a Neon Rainbow symbol is present on the grid. They will then reveal Coins, Clovers, Treasure Pots or Jackpot Markers. All Coins are bet multiplier prizes and are worth:

• Bronze Coin: Worth between 0.2 and 4 x bet
• Silver Coin: Worth between 5 and 20 x bet
• Gold Coin: Worth between 25 and 500 x bet

After all Golden Squares have been revealed, the Clover symbols will be activated. There are 2 different types:

• Green Clover: They will multiply all Coins or existing Treasure Pots on adjacent squares with a multiplier of between 2x and 20x.
• Gold Clover: They multiply all Coins or existing Treasure Pots on the grid with a multiplier between 2x and 20x.

Once all Clover symbols have applied their multiplier values, the Treasure Pots will activate: they collect the values of all Coins and other Treasure Pots, with the total value being stored. Treasure Pots activate top to bottom and left to right. They don’t collect Jackpot Markers, though.

When the last Treasure Pot is activated, all other Golden Squares activate again to reveal new symbols, with the process above repeated. Then all Coins and Treasure Pots are added together and multiplied by your bet amount.

Jackpot Markers

Jackpot Markers can land randomly on the grid or be revealed in the Golden Squares. Awarding 4 different fixed jackpot prizes, the values are as follows:

• Mini: 10 x bet
• Major: 100 x bet
• Mega: 1,000 x bet
• Max Win: 20,000 x bet

You’ll also notice that the value of each jackpot is displayed outside the grid on the Jackpot Sign.

When Jackpot Markers land, they are activated if they land with a Neon Rainbow. If revealed in a Golden Square, it will be awarded once all Coins and Treasure Pots have been awarded. With only 1 of each Jackpot Marker appearing at the same time, all 4 Jackpot Markers can land on each spin.

Spin City

The Spin City feature is triggered when 3 FS Scatters land simultaneously during a base game spin. With 10 free spins awarded, it comes with the same features as in the base game. However, all Golden Squares are progressive, meaning they remain on the grid until the Neon Rainbow symbol activates them. Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters will reward you with 2 or 4 extra free spins, respectively.

Jackpot of Gold

When you land 4 FS Scatters during a base game spin, you’ll get 10 free spins in the Jackpot of Gold feature. All Golden Squares remain on the grid for the duration of the feature, even after being activated by the Neon Rainbow. 2 or 3 FS Scatters will give you 2 or 4 free spins, respectively.  

Viva Le Bandit

The Viva Le Bandit feature is played when you land 5 FS Scatters during a base game spin. With 10 free spins awarded, you are guaranteed 1 Neon Rainbow on every free spin. When Coins are revealed, they will be Silver or Gold too. 2 or 3 FS Scatters will give you 2 or 4 additional free spins.

With 20,000 x bet max wins, Le King is the highest-paying slot game in the series (to date), with the others offering up to 15,000 x bet payouts (Le Pharaoh).
