Colourful and with a mechanical feel, you’ll see robot sharks on either side of the main grid. On the reels, there are low-value A, K, Q, J and 10 royals, which all pay up to 2 x bet. The 5 higher-value symbols include rhino, snake, tiger, dinosaur and great white sharks: the white shark symbol is the best paying awarding 2, 5 or 10 x your bet for 3, 4 or 5 in combination.

Laser Sharks

Look out for the Laser Shark symbol landing on the 4^th row on the reels. Once the spin stops and settles, all Laser Sharks fire a laser in 1 of 3 directions: straight up, diagonally left or diagonally right. They activate in order from left to right.

The laser fires with every paying symbol in its path transformed into a Wild symbol: they can remain as Wilds or reveal a Wild Multiplier up to 200x. If a laser hits an existing Wild, that Wild will gain a multiplier: if a laser hits a Wild symbol with a multiplier, the multiplier value increases.

Multiple Wild Multipliers part of the same winning combination will see their values combined. Finally, Laser Shark symbols transform into Wilds after being activated.

Force Fields 

On the left, top and right edges of the reels, you’ll find 3 Force Fields. If a Laser Shark symbol activates and hits a Force Field, the laser bounces off the Force Field and continues in another direction at the same angle. The laser continues to transform paying symbols in its path into Wilds.

When a Laser Shark hits a Force Field straight on, the laser bounces back the same way it came from, adding multipliers to the transformed Wilds. If a laser hits a Laser Shark symbol, it transforms into a Multiplier Wild. Once all wins are awarded, the Laser Shark and all Wilds are removed for the next spin.

Jaws of Justice comes with 3 free spins features, benefitting from upgraded mechanics from the base game. Below are all the details:

• Killer Cosmos: Triggered by landing 3 FS Scatters in the base game, you’re awarded 10 free spins. Keeping the same mechanics as the base game, there is a higher chance of landing Laser Shark symbols. Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters will give you 2 or 4 extra free spins, respectively.
• Chompocalypse: Triggered by landing 4 FS Scatters in the base game, you’ll get 10 free spins. From a production perspective, Hacksaw Gaming has allowed their creative juices to flow with a superb-looking slot game. I like the way it combines sharks with outer space. Even though Push Gaming did it with Razor Returns, the graphics are much sharper and the soundtrack is much more immersive in the Jaws of Justice slot.

In terms of the bonus features, the key is the Laser Shark symbol: firing in different directions to turn symbols into Wilds or Multiplier Wilds up to 200x, bouncing the laser off Force Fields will see the laser continue to transform symbols for more Wilds and Multiplier Wilds. If you get multiple Laser Shark symbols simultaneously, you could end up with a screen full of Wilds and Multiplier Wilds.

With the 3 free spins features, Hacksaw Gaming has kept the base game mechanics, increasing the intensity and win potential with each mode. In the Chompocalypse free spins, all Laser Sharks fire in 2 different directions. My favourite is obviously the Nuclear Nebula free spins as you’re guaranteed at least 1 Laser Shark on every free spin.

With 10,000 x bet max wins, Jaws of Justice can really pop off is enough Laser Sharks land and the Force Fields bounce the laser back onto the reels. That said, the key is to land Multiplier Wilds which can combine to award big wins if you get a few higher multiplier values.
