This game looks and plays amazing, and I so wanted it to be great - And it wasn't bad at all - That said, if the 100 spin test is anything to go by, do not expect high win frequency, as I realised just 17 winning spins in the 100.

The base game is cute with quirky images of the fox and hens, the 5 x 3 reels are cleverly constructed as bedding areas for the hens so there are 15 spots on the screen for our feathered friends.

Theme – Fox and Hens

From the game name we can tell that a fox is a big part of the slot’s story but the hens are also the main stars. In fact, hens are probably used in more imagery than the fox. He’s usually in the background of the base game trying to get to catch and feast on the chooks

The base game takes place in a tatty hen shed with funny-looking hens pictured on the reels. The game imagery is bright and cheery.

The reel imagery in order of value starts with the chicken images. At the top of the table, we have the turquoise & orange chicken, the big white chicken, the 2-tone brown chicken, the small white chicken and finally the rat. This is then followed by eggs which in order of value are red, orange, purple, green and blue.

Play Experience & First Impressions

Our first impressions were positive of this game, from the game title we didn't know exactly what to expect so were pleasantly surprised. The straightforwardness of the game is its selling point. The graphics are delightful and due to the bonus features, it is a joy to play.

This game was enjoyable to play, we enjoyed the simplicity of it, and it was easy to follow. Like most slot games the bonus features are what kept our attention. The graphics were sweet, they are not as high-impact as some of the more spangly slots on the market but again this is part of its charm and style.

The maximum win was much lower than other games out there but this is balanced out by it being a medium-high volatility game. 

The most fun part of the game was the FOOOXX!! Feature. This started with the ‘Nudge’ where when a 3-high symbol stack partially covers the reel, it may nudge to cover the whole reel and activate the FOOOXX!! Feature. If this takes place the 3-high stacked symbol covers the reel it transforms into a wild and a re-spin is then awarded.

For us, it was a clear winner or perhaps we should say… ‘winner winner chicken dinner.
