Extra Chilli More Chilli benefits from more bonus features than its predecessor but the lower max win potential and lack of innovation doesn’t make this release stand out against the original cult favourite.

Being released over 8 years after the original, the Extra Chilli More Chilli slot is a much anticipated sequel, considering that the first game was such a hit.

In terms of the gameplay, the ‘More Chilli’ version is much more elaborate than the original, with the introduction of the Chilli Bonus Respin feature: it will add Purple Chilli Wilds, increase the number of ways to win, double the win multiplier increase and transform Green Chilli symbols into Green Chilli Wilds.

In the Free Spins feature, you can gamble for up to 4 Chilli Bonus features active: the good news is that Chilli Bonus features remain active throughout the free spins, for higher winning potential.

With 30,000 x bet max wins, Extra Chilli More Chilli offers lower max win potential than its predecessor (43,440 x bet). I would say Big Time Gaming has missed a trick here as higher max win potential would have certainly made this sequel much more appealing.

In summary, Extra Chilli More Chilli delivers more compelling gameplay than Extra Chilli Megaways but the max win potential is disappointingly lower and lets it down. That said, BTG offered ramped up the payout potential in Bonanza Falls to 93,540 x bet compared to 26,000 in Bonanza Megaways but the gameplay didn’t quite match up. Another case in point in White Rabbit 2 which offers 133,100 x bet max wins: it is nowhere near as good as White Rabbit Megaways (which comes with 17,420 x bet max wins).
